Colloid Mill

The Colloid Mill can be used as in line unit ( Horizontal execution) for the continuous operation in a process line, or with a funnel & circulation line ( Vertical execution).

The Colloid Mill has a broad application range & is used in the Food, Pharmaceutical, Chemical & Cosmetic Industries & even in water treatment plants. It operates successfully for products, which must be ground & well dispersed. It disintegrates particles faster & uniform swiveling without forming of agglomerates & for the homogenizing of products in one pass.

The Mill develops not only hydraulic high pressure in the grinding tool section. but turbulence & cavitations which, then combined provide both a gentle grinding & the required impact, squeezing, cutting etc. Effects for the homogenizing of products & wetting out of powders, all in one pass.

The centrifugal force of the rotor brings the material inside the mill. The rotor & stator combination with its exceptional large surface area provide both a gentle grinding & the required impact effect. A two way valve at the discharge connection of the Colloid Mill can either the processed material to inlet opening for rework or discharge the processed material.

Rapid Mixer Granulator

Safety Features:

All belts, pulleys & transmission system are adequately guarded with suitable covers.

 

Machine can't be started if the top lid is open due to a proximity sensor.

 

Machine can't be started if the air pressure is below the set value

 

Machine can't be started if the discharge flange is open for cleaning due to a proximity sensor.

 

If main impeller is lifted upward fir cleaning or for visual inspection during validation of cleaning. the machine can't be switched ON.

 

Machine can't be started unless Fluid bed trolley is kept underneath discharge assembly.

 

 

 

The following additional features can be given with the machine at an extra cost if required.

Main impeller can be lifted by hydraulic cylinder by 100 mm during washing. Using this feature main impeller gets lifted up by a hydraulic cylinder by actuating an electric switch so that cleaning & visual inspection for validation process for the main impeller cleaning can be done easily. See drawing attached to understand this feature.

 

Automation of RMG operation by means of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Details are attached herewith for your reference. We can also do PC based automation.

 

CIP wash system or clean in process system can be supplied which can be either PLC or manual depending upon the user's requirement. FR washing principal (similar to domestic washing machine for clothes) ensures that bottom side of each bland of main impeller is cleaned properly during wash cycle.

 

Machine with mechanical seals to enable vacuum loading of material.

 

Jacketed vessel for heating/ cooling. Solvent recovery can be done by a separate condenser.

 

Binder solution adding arrangement with triclover fitted for easy removal. The same arrangement can be utilized for CIP wash.

 

We can provide variable speed drive (AC drive ) for main & chopper impellers where by as per program both impellers will run at the set speed. With this drive one can achieve any rpm at between 50 to 4500 to meet the requirement of any formulation composition.

 

Main drive can be made to run on hydraulic motor so that main impeller RPM can be varied infinitely. With this & a tilting provision the high shear mixer can be used as a single pot processor where with mechanical seals vacuum drying of the wet mass can be done. Hydraulic tilting of entire bowl from 300o on either side with hot purging enables quicker drying. 

 

 

Working Cycle:

Dry Mixing -2 to 4 minutes

Wet Granulation - 4 to 15 minutes.

Discharge - 30 to 60 seconds

Complete Cycle - 6 to 20 minutes.

Double Cone Vacuum Dryer

Raw material are charged as a batch & is subjected to indirect heating while undergoing rotary action. The conical shape of the dryer ensures efficient circulation of hot liquid heating media. The drying operation is being at low temperature under vacuum, that is why it is economical & effective for drying pharmaceuticals, temperature sensitive or easily oxidizable products. When the solvent is present in the wet powders, the recovery of solvent is easily possible. 

Drying take place when the dryer is heated from outside through jacket & vacuum is applied from inside. The drying operation is based on the principal that water or other volatile product moves from a zone of high vapour pressure to a zone of low pressure. This is accomplished by warming the product to be dried to raise the vapour pressure of the absorbed or free liquid, by decreasing the vapour pressure of the gas by vacuum, or by sweeping it away with an air current. Thus the essential conditions for effective drying are efficient & uniform heat transfer throughout the batch & rapid removal of the vapors.

The dryers are designed to meet customer's requirements flexibly & efficiently.

Paste Preparation Kettle

Available from 50 lits to 300 lits capacity

Paste preparation kettle is a semi-hemispherical jacketed bowl having two shaft extensions exactly opposite, which are fixed in Plummer block bearings. This jacketed bowl has connection for steam inlet/drain & also for steam pressure. When electric heating is to be used this jacket is filled with oil & that is heated by electric heater dipped inside the jacket.

Depending upon the user requirement, paste preparation kettle has anchor or stirring.

On the shaft extension of paste kettle, there is a worm & worm wheel which is turned rotation for the paste kettle when someone wants to empty the kettle.

Water is put inside the paste kettle bowl for heating & after it gets heated, starch or other binders are added to make a binder or paste. This paste is to be then used for wet granulation process in equipments like high shear mixers (RMG) or in Fluid bed granulators.

Entire construction in S.S.

Semi hemispherical bowl ensure that entire bowl can be emptied by rotating the worm wheel.

Simplified construction enables ease of operation.

Steam or electric heating is possible depending upon the user requirement.

when used with stirrer / anchor the movement of anchor is forward & reserve using cyclic timer. Stirrer ca be supplied at additional cost.

Note: The flow rate mentioned is in terms of water with 5% carbon & filter to poly propylene paper. Filtration rate may change depending on viscosity of liquids, quality of filter media & nature of solids in liquid be filtered.

 

The range of S.S Sparkler type filters ensures precisely the right filtration characteristics for all application in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, & Beverages, Distilleries & Food Industries. It is manufactured from AISI 304-304L / 316-316L quality. All joints are argon arc welded & polished to mirror finish.

Type of pump depends upon the Chemical & physical properties of the liquid to be filtered. All necessary connection i.e. pressure gauge, safety valve & air vent valve are provided. Cartridge consists of horizontally arranged filter plates, perforated supporting screens, interlocking cups, center rod, tie rods & filter media. Sample taking device can be provided.

For hot filtration AISI 304/316 jacket id provided to shell circulating heating media. Complete unit is mounted on S.S. trolley & fitted with castor wheels for easy movement. The filter press is generally used to obtain clear filtrate. Specially designed scavenger plate for complete filtration are provided 18" & above models. If required actual testing carried out works, for which, require quality of liquid would be arranged by the customer: otherwise testing can be carried out with water & insoluble carbon/ high flow.

 

The unfiltered liquid is fed into filter under positive pressure, where liquid travel in downward direction & finds its way through opening on side of the filter plates.

As the liquid pressure increase, the filter media holds the foreign particles & allows only clear filtrate to pass through the central channel formed by interlocking pressure cups to the outlet. Filtration is continued until rate becomes too slow due to cake resistance.

Planetary Mixer Oscillating Granulator

PLM is an ideal for the products fo different viscosities, densities, shapes & proportions. The major use includes the production of latexes, adhesives, personal care & cleaning products, dispersion & micro- dispersion of chemical & agricultural pesticide formulations. It is suitable for mixing / blending powders as well as through mixing of ointments, creams, lotions, toothpastes, resins, slurries, ceramics, colour, pigments, rubber & other compounds etc. 

PLM is consists of a single blade or double blade with a high dispersion blade ( Emulsifier/Homogenizer). Intimate & homogenizer mixing of products is achieved by planetary motion of beaters & centrally located high speed dispersion blade for vacuum jacketed mixer unit. The PLM consists of two open beaters moving in planetary motion, scraper blade & centrally located high speed homogenizer run by a separate motor to manufacture ointments, creams, suspensions etc. 

It is a stator- rotor high shear mixer. High speed, high shear & higher power are the main characteristics of stator-rotor mixing device. The high shear action creates a forced product flow. The interchangeability of homogenizer blades are possible to suit the mixing requirements of various products. They are used in many process operations like homogenization, dispersion, emulsification, grinding, dissolving, chemical reaction, cell disruption & coagulation.

PLM is also used for blending, mixing & homogenizing powders of various bulk densities by rectangular shaped or heart shaped ( smaller sized mixers) beaters.

Octagonal Blender

The unit is used for blending the most delicate & fragile free flow products like powder or granules in 10 to 20 minutes. Vibro Sifter

Vibro sifters are used for raw material sieving in pharmaceutical, food & chemical industry. Raw material is fed through in feed hopper & there is a sieve of required mesh size through which the sieved material falls. Communuting Mill

COMMUNUTING MILL

Communuting mill is used for downsizing of granules or for size reduction. It has large application in pharmaceutical, chemical & food industry. Machine has one rotor with knife edges which rotate on horizontal axis. There is one half round sieve mounted at the bottom of the rotor/ blade. Material is changed from the top through in feed hopper & material falls on the rotor blades. Due to the knife edges mounted on rotor, the downsizing of particle take place & through sieve material gets pushed outward from the bottom opening. Knife edges can be removed for cleaning very easily.

Simplified designed & construction which is maintenance free.

All contact part are from S.S 316 & rest from S.S 304.

For dust free system, gaskets can be used at in feed mouth & at the outlet mouth of the shifter.
